Got the game yesterday and have been playing since then.
Went to log in this afternoon and I get:
My internet works - hence this post. It seems that I cannot play the game I paid for.
Right now I will veto Ubi games and will spread the word to my friends. This is not good enough.
The most gaulling thing about the whole thing is that I bet the low lifes that didn't purchase it are busy enjoying 'their' stolen game. This makes me very P**sed off.
Farewell Ubi - you were a good publisher once.

I feel ya. I am moving today into a new house, will not have cable until next thursday. That is when the cable people said they could get there. Complete BS that you HAVE to be online to play a single player game. BS!!!!
I spent 50 dollars for the game, and about 200 dollars in upgrades to run the game the way it should too.

Same problem here for a few minutes as well. I'd take a guess at this being Ubi's servers crashing under the load of a saturday afternoon (at least in GMT) gaming session.

And the bright idea of Permanent online connection fails again.
Just like UBI will fail if they don't shape up. Time is running out.

Wow.....
This has to be some sort of "Breach of Contract" or something along similar lines.
I wonder if a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT would finally put an end to this nonsense?
