My guys deserve a break after their last patrol...Brought a cameraman on board this time around, but his blurry, rainy photos ended up leaving a little to be desired....They're okay if you like photos of my watchcrew in a rainsqual.....

The worst part was the area around Reykjavik...It got a little nippy up there....

**** I didn't give the fisrt shot a proper look at first, so I tohught you were just arguing for pennants withthe help of a real picture... Haha...Can't say I didn't fall for it, nice work.
But I did notice the two black and white blurry pictures were SH3, but only after a serious look. They are really good!!!!
So what did you use and how?
MORE ACTION from grid AE.....

The weather became a little more forgving, allowing us to run into a small merchant...Beggers can't be choosers up here, and we were able to disable it with an eel, topside.

Horst, our photographer was able to capture this photo of Karl finishing off the ship with our deck gun. I guess he snapped it at just the right time...It's then when you realize just how much that gun shakes the boat when it fires.
I took these these photos on my last patrol. I was up up north skimming around and thought, "you know...we need some ice up here."Originally posted by Ratek:

After my patrol, I took the photos (screenshots) in for development. haha.
I used just a basic graphics/media program like a "paint" or "photoshop".
I'm not a modder, but maybe someone (modder-wise) might check out these photos, in hopes of giving them some ideas.
I might take Horst (the camera guy) with me again on my next patrol. If I do, I'll post some more.
That simple... I'm impressed!
Do take Horst with you, if you want I can easily create a story for you if you provide the pictures.
I had inteded to create a story last night, but I got involved in a heated argument here, so the inspiration left me.
I'm thinking about an attached photographer, so crewshots would make such a story easier.
I'm telling you Ratek...This is what it's all about. Sure, my main mission is to sink as much tonnage as possible...I think I've accumulated well over 200k by now, but never more than 50k in a single mission...My hats off to you guys who can rack up over 100k per mission. My realism meter has risen lately, and am working manual targeting now, so consequently my tonnage is now all over the place. Some patrols I can get to 50k and some less then 20k. Don't think I'll be able to hit that 100k mark, but it's okay. That's the way it was back then. Even during the war, the best one-time patrol score was only 86k (Gunther Hessler U107) So I don't feel so bad. I'm kind of a purest in the sense of combat, so if I die, I do not save...I wipe out the character and start fresh with a new crew and new boat. I just get off on trying to recreate the game as if it were real missions. And by bringing Horst (my photographer) with me, I can now do that.Originally posted by Ratek:

I'm starting to get attached to my crew now (mission 8), and photo's of not only them, but of future patrols are sure to follow.
As far as stories go, Sure Ratek...You got it bud, I can put something together for you. We should start mission scrapbooks, with screenshots that look like photos. I use roxio creator 7, and windows "paint" for my touchups, but photoshop or any of those graphics programs should work just fine...Well the patrols are getting hairier now as time goes by, but it should make for a good scrapbook. I have more than enough renown now to move from a VIIB to a IX, but I'm gonna wait a little while longer. I'm just having too much fun with this little VIIB. I lost my flack gunner in the beginning of the last mission, leaving Biscay (aircraft straif)...it was tough. He was a stud...
It was especially hard having to haul him around throughout the remainder of the trip. lol

Horst was looking a little salty by the end of our patrol.
By the way this last patrol....less than 25K, one plane shot down, and lost a man.....It was a rough one. Hence only four pennants on my boat, on my arrival back to Lorient. (top photo)
Good, then bring it on!
So if you want it scrapbook-style, then do you want it like a newpaper (Der Angriff perhaps) or a personal up-on-the-attic kind of style? The latter is easier, but is also very confined and has little room for 'artistic' licence.
I'm lousy with the various imageprograms, I never used them when I was younger, and now I have no need for it (and when you get older you get a bit more conservative).
I'm impressed withthe people who can manage anything above 40k with manual targeting and no WE solutions.
Btw, you do know that you can right-click on a dead crewmember to bury him at sea?
