For those of you who are interested to know a bit about the gauges in the Japanese A/C's, here are some of what we could make out. My sister and I have translated these some time ago. I thought of posting it here for anyone who is interested. The translations are the literal meaning of the kanji/katakana characters written on the gauges. Some doesn't make sense as they are 'obsolete'. Nippongo evolves with every generation.

Domo Arigato Gozaimasu, BPLIzard. My knowledge of kanji is limited to finding "Misawa" and "Hachinohe" on roadsigns. This helps a lot.
