I just installed the 4.9's for my 9800XT and my 3D Mark scores went up from 6384 to 6731!

    These new drivers rock

    All the best, Don

But have you noticed any improvement in actual games without any loss of image quality comparison to your older drivers?

    Hey all ...

I have never had any problems updating Cat drivers before. This time I followed the usual uninstall old drivers , reboot in safe mode, delete any files with DRIVER CLEANER 3 etc. Reboot. Installed the "large" version upgrade of 4.9 (with the Catalyst Control Center).

Upon reboot I get this error message:

    cli.exe - Application Error
The Application failed to initialize Properly (0x0000135). Clickon Ok to terminate the application.

I hit Ok twice and it goes away. I cannot open the Catalyst Control Center. I uninstalled the Catalyst Control Center and rebooted. The error message has disappeared.

    Any Ideas?

You could get better advice at Community Help. Be prepared to post your "dxdiag". Those guys can read that report like reading a fast food menu.

EDIT: h009291, do you have the Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1? It says it's required.
EDIT2: This one is different than I'm used to, there are 2 control panel downloads. I always use the Dial-up options becuase I don't need the WDM capture part. Try downloading just the first 3, and install them in order. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the heads up, here's the link.for ATI.

Need to install .NET Framework Version 1.1 from Microsoft. There's a link where you download the drivers from on ATI's site.
