    Wiley, check your pm, mate

NTesla/THX1138, I hoped you would like it
Points noted, and you are dead right about the narrative - this was something I really struggled with i.e. how to tell the story without too many subtitles, a voice over could be great.....or it could be really naff. As this is my first serious 'story' movie it was too much of a risk to ruin it.

When are one of you old boys, or another 'noob', going to try a voice over? And where are the good actors?

The R/T transmissions would have been good too, but that's a whole new ball game to get the right script and voice actors. Oh, but imagine how sweet it would be to hear Raymond Baxter's dulcet Farnborough voice. He is still around, of course, but sadly Tommy 'Cupid' Love passed away a few years ago (It was one of my work colleagues who knew Love that gave me the inspiration to do this story).

Of course, I always laugh at Dart's voice-overs but I don't think the ending would have benefited from Cupid Love saying 'don't forget a big ol' smile'! as the Catalina flies into the sunset - but then again

    Hi Joe,

Thanks for the private link so I could watch the final version after seeing it 75% complete the other week

Firstly, you must take the full credit for producing this excellent true movie as my part in helping was miniscule to say the least. This is one of the best €œtrue story€ movies I have had the pleasure to watch, the way you conveyed the story, especially during the first 5 minutes was excellent. I really enjoyed the use of real footage and stills and thought the introduction of each pilot during the Spit take off sequence was very well constructed.

I am with MrVh on the Spit take off sequence, very well executed and some great team organisation with your fellow squad mates. The four Spits breaking off to start their bomb run, looked absolutely superb, you could not have captured this any better

The overall quality and €œfeel€ of this movie is top draw, and I really liked the look you created with the de-saturation of colour, plus virtually stutter free which is a bonus.

This is a very good movie Joe in every aspect, the amount of home work and studying of how to make a movie has paid off for you and you have set your personal bar at €œhigh€ already. OK, take on board €œsound effects€ etc next time, but nothing should detract from what you have produced here as you have only recently joined the community.

I truly look forward to your future works, as I believe you will continue to raise your bar and provide the community with more great movies from bonny Scotland

    All the best

    Excellent, thanks Thrustmaster

Oh, and Monty, you underestimate your input. Have you never been involved in a project for a couple of months and getting to the point where you can't be bothered, and then you get some encouragement and suggestions? It made all the difference, mate

    Hey Joe
You bastard - you nearly killed my ears and loudspeakers, because of no sound in the first 20 secs, so I just turned up - and ouch!!!!
But nice movie anyway - you are a good storyteller, music, sounds and visuals just fit's, and it's not overplastered with aftereffects, you have found a good balance there.
Would you mind give some information about your hardware spec. I think that will be a good help for us with steamrigs, so we can see what we need if we want to show this and that, water and clouds for examble.

Web server had some downtime earlier on due to an error with a user account somewhere down the line. It's all back online though so try again and it should be ok

Sorry about that, nothing I could do.
