In FB, even Me-262 TnBed desperately against I-16 when it's on six to shake it. No consideration in speed and agility, all planes turned hard to shake or chase. Result was always terrible, RTB Me-262 was one or two out of 8. (one was always me! )

But after AEP, something is chaged, I think. It seems like AIs are comparing type to type. Even AI P-51 didn't turn against zero on his six like before. They just accelerated and kept going straight until some separation was made. This happened about three times for me.
(he was my wingman and AI level was just veteran! he ran opposite way from me to secure himself. )

So, I think AEP has tiny but huge difference for offline play, AI compares his type and foe's type and decide maneuver from it.

Did anyone notice it? Is it my sweet illusion again?

You may be on to something here. I noticed this when flying an A6M2 against a P-39. In three fights, the AI Airacobra driver tried to dive and outrun, never using the rudder until he "thought" he was a safe distance away.

    You saw it too?
Wow, then it's a HUUUUUGGEEEE improvement for offline play, not just difference.

Have you noticed how the AI is even more tenacious? I had a 109 that was smoking and he was on me like glue... even after I managed to shake him he got back on my tail spewing black smoke all the way.... it ewas only when he explodes that i lost him.

Im not much of a AI player and I havent played a mission other than QMB for testing since FB came out but I am quite suprised at the AI's behaviour I am seeing.

I have noticed the AI constantly getting "locked" into this high AOA low airspeed thing. Often just drifting into the ground. The most suprising though was me323's doing hammerheads and barrel rolls as evasive maneuvers.

I played a quick mission P-38 vs a Zero. I got on the Zeros tail and it did 2 barrel rolls before excuting a sharp turn to throw me off. All in all I do see some improvement in the AI.

The AI seems far more 'human' to me. Very enjoyable, compared to its machine-like qualities before AEP.
