Hello everyone Please let other people know what you have so they may buy or use the same to help them have better play
I just bought a Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X Joystick $49.95 CAN. I did see it somewhere that it was used in the game and it looked like a good mid ranged joystick for the money I seen others for $200 $300 But im not going to spend that on a joystick that might break 6 months down the line
Also i know TrackIr works anyone use free head tracker software? I know it worked in former IL-2 games
I also use a Radeon XFX 5770 Hd 1 gig video card
Which i find does the job well and a AMD II X2 215 duel core on a 42" LCD flat
I hear alot of people with I-7 And EVGA cards having problems ..low frame rates
Note: Had to edit your thread and its title a bit, as you were using the name of a product that may not be used on these forums. FT.
Also I'm not sure if i can add links to Help people with some computer issues However there are Free programs On reliable websites That i use to clean my computer and close unneed processes giving you better use of your comupter for gamming ..Also i turn my firewall off for gamming only and my Nortons (huge process) Disk defrag.. It helps if you have a low end HD and your passed 50% space
Mines a 1 TB so i have lots of room but like to keep it clean
I use the good old Sidewinder FFB2. Now FFB is active in game it realy works very well even without drivers. I also have a Saitek throttle quadrant but could still do with more sliders to use the extra aircraft controls available. I have a Leo Bodnar card and a load of switches and pots so just need to find the time to make use of them.
TrackIR4 with latest TrackIR5 software.
I have installed Clod on it's own SATA drive with it's own Windows O/S and only apps essential for running the sim. Not even AV software as I figure I'd rather format and reinstall than use resources.
I can run the game with everything maxed out with fps in the 40s and 50s with just the odd drop into the 30s or even 20s. But very little stuttering.
Looking forward to the next update which looks like it could be tomorrow.
Asus M4N98TD EVO NF 980a SLI AM3 Motherboard
Phenome II 965 Quad Core
Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti
4gb DDR3
Windows 7 Ultimate
See i'm getting 80 - 100 fps with the odd dip to 50 to 70 Fps Your system is better then mine im only a duel core and isn't a GTX 560 a newer card then the 5770? Theres another update tomorrow? woo hoo lol i might get my joystick same time aswell as working on a "head tracking system"Originally posted by Nahaliel:

I got my Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X today via mail plugged it in and the basics work up down side to side and guns ..the rest i have to program in and mess around for a smooth flight the throttle and joystick come apart and you can flip the joystick over and add or - the resistance on it lots of buttons and a switch for PC and PS3 ..not bad for $50
CH Fighter stick+Pro Pedals+Trackir 5 here. Will get the throttle finally when my mortgage gets approved!
I'd certainly recommend the CH control combo. I've had this set since 2004. Works as good as new and its taken a severe pounding over the years. If I'd stuck with mid range sticks in over that period, I would have spent double already.
Ya i like the fact the CH fighter has the trim controls But after upgrading the computer Paying for the game before the pre order release I looked around for a new Joystick to replace my old Extreme 3d pro that has half of the buttons worn out and a gun trigger that likes to work after your target has movedOriginally posted by WOLFMondo:

i wanted to save a few $$$ with free head tracker and a nice looking joystick that was bulky The stick has a good feel to it. Who knows in 6 months i might go on the CH route
