The interesting thing about Theme From A Summer Place, I awoke recently from a deep sleep and found myself insatiably driven to hear the song.I had the TV on with the volume low when I fell asleep and can only conclude that I must've heard a television commercial that played that song while I was sleeping, though that doesn't solve my recent interests in Burt Bacharach songs. I went out and bought a couple of his CD compilations. Chalk it up to the power of suggestion.
The Eagles are one of my favorites groups. I think I may just have every album they ever recorded, including their zenith, Hotel California. Their music helped to define an era.
