Just wondering if anyone can answer a question about the setup. When you enter you information and it asks you to select the part of the body you want to focus on, can you only select one part as a long term goal? I would like to work on pretty much all of them, but not necessarily in the same way. Thanks!

Welcome to the forums! I was confused by this at first as well but I went ahead and chose a body area and it let me keep selecting and choosing either shape or tone until I ran out of options. From there, I modified my calender to suit my needs. Hope that helps!

Sorry, I'm still confused. I went through and selected the areas I wanted to work on and if I wanted to tone, burn, or strengthen also, but it only seems to reflect the last choice. Are you saying when you did that it saved each choice or instead you modified the calendar to reflect your focus?

I have also added workouts to my calendar, but it only let me choose the length of the workout, not the focus. It always sets added workouts to cardio. Is that what happens on yours or can you choose the focus on the calendar?

Also, do you happen to know how I can change the preferred type of workout in the profile? Mine is set to Cardio, but I was ever asked what my preferred type was and that’s not it.

    Thanks!

I don't know why the FM never responded again to clarify, but I'm guessing it's because like most of the questions people have here, they really don't want to have to admit that they screwed up. I posted my question in the developer forum and surprisingly, it's one of the few questions they finally got around to answering. You can read their response, but the answer is pretty much that you can't select more than one long term goal and the routine you get daily will include what you select as a focus that day, but it will be based off your long term goal. So if you're only looking for cardio than you're all set, but if you wanted to do something really crazy like strengthen some areas and do cardio, it's not really a great program. If you choose weight loss as a long term goal, then no matter what you choose as a focus for your workout daily or what equipment you add, you will get almost entirely cardio with maybe one or two strength moves. I used it for a month doing it 5x week for an hour, scored above 70, usually in the 80s at the end and I got pretty similar routines everyday.

Not sure what your goals are, but what I started doing last week is changing my long term goal everyday to the area I want to focus on that day and then selecting to strengthen the same area when I select the workout for the day and add weights. When I do it that way I find I get a more focused workout and the equipment is a much bigger part of it than when you set your long term to weight loss. On the days I want cardio, I set the long term to weight loss. I still don’t think it’s the best workout, doing that makes it a little better though. My biggest compliant is that when you do get it to focus on an area you want to strengthen, it will have you do the same move over and over again instead of a variety of move to target the area. I’ve had several workouts where It had me do 8 sets of shoulder presses with a squat and only one set of bicep curls and then that was it. Or it gives me six sets of side leg lifts on each side and by the end my butt starts cramping and my percentage starts lowering, but then I won’t get anything else that really targets that are. Just seems to me like it doesn’t do a great job of working all the muscles in a specific group when it does focus on your target area. There are some people on here that really like it so I guess it depends on what type of workouts you bought it for. For me, I have DVD’s and on demand workouts that challenge me much more than this. Anyways, probably more info than you wanted to know . Good luck with it!

As I have mentioned before, everything that is posted in here and asked is passed along by me. The next batch of answers is coming soon!
