What are you guys talking about when you say that going prone downhill is fake? I mean you couldn't go down a wall like spiderman, but a hill, why couldn't you? Also you can send invites and messages, go to your friends list.

Well what I mean is, that when you are prone, in real life, going down a steep hill or grade is done more from a slide or a roll, rather than a head down bum it the air (larger target) move. In this game, one can simply go prone and travel over almost all the terrain without any complications.

It wouldmake much more sense if some limitations were in place to stop you at certain points or against some objects. Like large bushes, etc.

I'm not talking about slight grades or crests etc, but decent down hill slopes etc etc.

The left right and bottom D pad selections choose the following
    • Right D Pad - 1 click selects 1X Handgun
    • Right D Pad - 2 clicks Selects Dual weild 2 handguns

    • Left D Pad - 1 click selects Machine gun
    • Left D Pad - 2 clicks selects Dual weild machine gun.

Bottom D Pad selects Sniper Rifle or special firearm. No dual select on that selection.

Top D Pad Selects Binoculars. While selected. tapping the Top D Pad bumps up the zoom on the binoculars. (pressing X de-selects binoculars)[/list]

    News Flash:
This is NOT Halo, nor is it Ghost Recon, or Rainbow Six etc, It's Far Cry: Intstincts, and can't be compared to Halo, nor should it be.

Ubi have done a **** fine job given the limits of the BBB, and delivered a engaging game as a new experience, not a clone of another game. Just because it comes from Ubi, doen't mean they built it to compete with Halo.

What is with this continual comparison to bloody Halo. I love Halo okay, but it's not the be-all and end-all of FPS for crying out loud. Give it a rest please, and just take the game as it is. A **** fine FPS that is in todays time slot (not on some other planet in some other galaxy far far away and a complete SCi-Fi. style game)

It's set in the tropical Islands and could quite well be a very plausable possibility. Yes, it's a little 'follow the leader' style, but I'm having HEAPS of fun, opperative word being FUN. And I'm certainly NOT comparing it to any other game.

That's not a good way to experience a game. One needs to approach it as a first experience and see where it takes you. Follow the story that's laid out for you and see how you can get through it and do so in a manner that uses as much of the programming the developers have put in it for you. In short, have FUN.

So please, drop the Halo is God thing . . PLEASE . . !

No offense to anyone, just my thoughts, and probably several others thoughts also.??

The srubs actualy do move when you run threw them, they kinda shake, but unless you have a good size TV you might not notice it because its very suddle.

Also, I dont know about going prone going down hill, but I dont like the fact that you cant aim down when laying, looking over a hill top...your gun doesnt look down only perelel with the hill.

And yeah, the music will start going full out when your trying to lissen to what buddy is saying to you. I started level 7 (after you come out of the mines) and buddy starts talking, so I figure I can walk and lissen at the same time...nope, as soon as I start moving forward the music starts up and drowns him out. Haha, but I did find the radio debate about the dino's right after that part pritty funny.

These are minor complaints, nothing worth loosing any sleep over.

I find if you do come to a rise, crouch rather than go prone, and slowly make your way to the top and you can just see over it to any taragets below, and then sight up from that position. It's a great deal easier and steadier. Make sure you are using as much follage and cover as possible. Stay out of sight and it's rather fun actually.

Well...I think Ubi did an amazing job. I'm sure they thought of a lot of these things...c'mon, they develop numerous games.

'Instincts' has only been out for a short while, and the 'nit-picking' begins...It's easy to sit back on your couch, and dictate what should or shouldn't have been done.

Cut these guys some slack, will ya? Let the dust settle a little first...
