Hey Jack, hope you dont mind but your thread just got sticked!
All please use this thread for feedback re the game!

Great game UBI. nice one.
All I made this thread for is to post on several ideas and such which hopefully may be taken in and released later on (like an update patch that Ninja Gaiden had)

1) Perhaps add the toggle function of disabling/enabling the radar. This can be an asset to some gamers, but for the challenge, I would think it would be a good idea to turn it off if the player wanted.

2) Game difficulty settings. Perhaps maybe adding set difficulties for a new game. Such as:
Easy -Push over
Medium -Think you got what it takes
Hard -This is hell.
Extreme -Death wish
Real-Time -Difficulty changes and adapts to your skill level

Some may argue that this game is not so much of a challenge. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game. I would just like to see the options, that's all.

3) Do something with the aiming of the weapons. Especially the 9mm pistol. I just put the rather large recticle over the enemies head and i always get a headshot. It can become rather repetative. I suggest maybe a scaleable one. So when you shoot, the recticle becomes larger and so much more in-accurate.

That is all I can think of at the moment. I hope you read this and perhaps take in to concideration. Please, this not a BS thread. Post your ideas on how this great game can be somewhat better.
Thank you for your time,

Jack

Some great thoughts mate, especially the Skill Levels. I definitely believe there needs to be at least 3 settings, and the Real Time you suggested would be awesome.

Something else I wouldn't mind seeing 'adjusted' would be the Prone Position. WHile in prone, you can spin around, go up and down hills, almost through trees and rocks at times, all without even a wiggle on your part.

If there could be a clean up of this dynamic, and give it a distinct wiggle as you would when going prone and moving through follage etc etc, it would be a welcomed addition. Adding that little bit more to a **** fine game.

The real-time setting is what it has now. Where is you're doing well, the enimies are supposed to do better than if you were on say 20 health. But personally, i couldn't see any difference. So that would be a nice addition to the difficulty settings. As for the prone suggestion, I think that you shouldnt be able to prone stance your way down a hill, as you wouldn't be able to in real life. Maybe turning around yes, a good idea. I also agree with what you said about a wiggle. It should be so if you were in some foliage, and you moved while prone, you can see him doing it.
Any other suggestions, Ubi, Please take this into concideration.

In this game's split-screen, each screen's viewing area is reduced to make it fit.

Ubi could go with a more Halo 1-ish style where the screen is just made smaller instead of ho it currently is is in FCI.

Yes, going down hill while prone is just not a goodthing. Totally un-real. And yes, movingfollage would add to it even further, as youcan just wander right through shrub and not even brake a branch or twig or get stoped with anything other than large rocks and tress of course.

1) SO definitely include a distinct sideways wiggle into the prone position

2) Give prone some limitations and real life feel about it.

3) Perhaps add the ability to slide down rock surfaces where available. It'll save lossing some health etc, so long as it was within reason of course.

4) The ability to 'Zip' down ladders would be a neat addition as well,. Gets you to the ground quicker that's for sure, rather than being a sitting duck should there be unfriendlies down below.

5) The ability to climb through holes in cabin floors where there's enough room to do so. I've come across some burrows under walls and some broken floors where you came come up on in prone, but you do go up rather un-naturally, but it's stil better than not being able to. But climbing up through larger holes would be a great sneak trick . .?

merlin, some of the things you said might mean re-working the whole game.

I like a lot of your guys ideas so far. One thing though, Merlin you can zip down ladders. I think if you hold "A" down then you slide right down them. Anyways, here are some things on my list...

1.) During cut-scenes, take off all background music. I found myself losing a lot of the dialogue because the background music was playing to loudly.

2.) Allow guests to play on Live. Halo allows this and makes the game much better, that way if I have friends over we can all play.

3.) Try to fix some of the lag, if possible. I have found myself having to quit out of many games because the lag was unbearable.

Thats all I have so far. Other than that, this is an amazing game!!! I'm really looking forward to buying it (right now I'm renting it).

...a few more.

4.) Allow people to send messages to each other and invites.

5.) Be able to talk to teamates all the way across the maps.

I doubt any of these suggestions will even be taken into consideration by Ubi staff, but it's worth a shot.

1.) Make a "burrow" tool in the map editor so that you can make underground caves.

Quite true, but perhaps they, and many others here will be seriously taken into consideration when they decide to do a Xbox360 Far Cry game. Which they would be very remise if they didn't.

With the abilities of Xbox360, it's 3 cores and multi threads, Far Cry would really come into its own on the console.
