    If anybody can answer these questions, it would be most apreciated, thanks.

    HardwareShaders=1 (What are the options, and what is this flag for?)

    What are the Max Values for the following?
    TexQual=3
    HardwareShaders=1

    Shadows=2
    Specular=2
    SpecularLight=2
    DiffuseLight=2
    DynamicalLights=1
    MeshDetail=2
    VisibilityDistance=3

    Sky=2
    Forest=2
    LandShading=3
    LandDetails=2

    LandGeom=2
    TexLarge=1
    TexLandQual=3
    TexLandLarge=1

    VideoSetupId=3
    Water=1

    Thanks

    For water
    Water = 0, Fastest water, without ground reflection
    Water = 1, Normal water: ground and clouds reflections, cloud shadows
    Water = 2, Perfect water: same as Water = 1, plus wavy ground reflections and weather-dependant wave types

    Sky 1..2
    Water 0..2
    Forest 1..3

    The rest of the values you list are directly set by the Video Mode under "Hardware" in-game, or using IL-2 Stab (http://www.checksix-fr.com/) or Il-2 Manager (same link). They are directly dependant on the Graphics card you use. I wouldn't mess with the others...

    Also note these settings are listed twice (once of OpenGL and once for DirectX).
    Set the one you need otherwise they won't work...

    Also make conf.ini read-only after edit (sometimes it gets overwritten with a default setting - try changing Forest=... and check).

    Question: Did you back-up your files?
    Answer: I didn't know they had a reverse...
