It was posted over in the iL2 forums that Enigma: Rising Tide is now free and can be grabbed at the Enigma: Rising Tide Full Client page.

East over at the Sub Sim forums talks about it being now free and that there may be one more patch for it, but the game is unsupported. This is supposedly an .iso that can be mounted and burned to DVD. I am grabbing it now and it is said to work in both Vista and Win7.

Some quick information, rename the file from a .rar to a .iso and you can then extract everything to a temp folder so you can install the game and I can verify that it does run on Vista 64.

    Thanks!

Had a quick look at it, seems pretty good so far, but confusing. I had always thought enigmaw was a MP game, doesnt seem to be though, single player only. Is that right?

    MonteCristo,

I used to play that game all the time prior to getting SH3 & SH4. There really is no way to know the exact depth of the sub. It's like really early in the war and there are simply no tools in place for that kind of thing. Generally, it the sub is at 50m or less its icon will be a red triangle. If it's deeper you'll just see a red dot indicating its location.

Many people at their forum suggested attacking with a charge set at 100m. Others suggested bracketing...75 & 100m for example.

    Hope that helps!
