Wow... I've been sitting for around 4 hours just finding new historically accurate stuff about the Assassin's Creed franchise and I'm just amazed!

More like very scared, but amazed as well :P

First of all I love both games, and just can't wait for the new one, I have to know those secrets before I get crazy!

Second of all, I'm scared because this game is so historically accurate I'm scared it's true :P
And if not accurate then just somewhere close..

*IF YOU HAVN'T FINISHED ASSASSIN'S CREED II YET - SPOILER ALERT*

*AGAIN WARNING YOU*

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancient_astronauts

Makes you think of anything? especially because it's in Italy..

And this all Assassin moto which is actually the moto used by the Hashshashins and stuff that really scarily can remind you of Pieces of Eden:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eltanin_Antenna
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolfsegg_Iron
Sorry if you disagree with me on that one but that's my opinion..

Also this all Illuminati stuff, and 2012, and that theory of actually being created or related to some ET life, and that there were actually two civilizations, both human, but with a large gap of darkness and not even a single historical thing about that gap between them (suggesting the first civilization was just annihilated somehow), that's all stuff which is actually being researched! I don't know about you, but this stuff is scary in my opinion :P

So do you also find it scary or is it just me?
Now I just wanna buy some good books about the Hashshashins and the Templars and know stuff

Can't wait for Brotherhood, again, and for a third Assassin's Creed if there would be one, I need to know the answers, as fictionalized as they may be (but also scarily true). You really made AC2 a HUGE cliffhanger (Good job? :P)

This is some nice stuff The Hashshashin are my favorite historical group, (besides the Spartans ) because they go in, kill brutally and swiftly, and then leave.

It means we've figured out all this stuff ages ago. I would say "Use the search button, damn it!" but I understand its limitations in finding particular threads.

welcome to history

it is cool and great you want to know more about history because of the game and i think it is cool you want to buy books about the Hashshashins and the Templars and know stuff. but stick first with 'serious' history and history books and then you may can go for books with ancient astronauts and those things. NOT first ancient astornauts and then (or never) 'normal' history books.

There is more "history beyond mainstraim', but not everything is based on histoirc factss. something of pure interpretation like erich von däniken. i can not understand how anybody can this guy serious!

You know this is still Assassinc Creed! Not a history docu or something!

How can you say Ancient astronauts is historically accurate stuff?

anayway, if you can read german then buy this, it is about the templars and imo very good!!!

Know some German but only studied it for two months (and now am stopping, so I don't even count as a beginner :P)

Alamut
ISMAILI ASSASSINS, THE: A History of Medieval Murder
Secret Societies of the Middle Ages: The Assassins, the Templars & the Secret Tribunals of Westphalia

These are books I think I might buy :P

Also now that I read the synopsis of Alamut:
"The novel focuses on Sabbah as he unveils his plan to his inner circle, and on two of his young followers — the beautiful slave girl Halima, who has come to Alamut to join Sabbah's paradise on earth, and young ibn Tahir, Sabbah's most gifted fighter. As both Halima and ibn Tahir become disillusioned with Sabbah's vision, their lives take unexpected turns. "

Ibn Tahir?
Most gifted fighter?
Sabbah = Al Mualim (really is :P)

Sory but that sounds familiar from somewhere.. no idea where though

well, within english, italian or may spain and french i would say you are beginner, but not with german. Mark twain said once in a humor way "you learn english in 30 hours, french in 30 days and german in 30 years" :P

yepp, seems to be good books

it sound's familiar, because i reade a while ago, Patrice Destilets (spelled the name correct? anyway) readed the book and it was inspired. they also reade some other books. if you like i can search and try to find what other book they used/got inspired of.
