If I was you, I'd DEMAND something else. An explanation of how he edited your post, cuss words or not.
H*ll, what did you type to have it edited? I want to know, so I can type it myself and SEE another member edit MY post.

thanks coolhand for the info hopefully i wont have any problems if i get SHIII starforce HAS (in the past) been good to me what really jerks me is when companies try to use their own cd-protection it really burns me because they always screw it up (ascaron entertainment on its sacred game is a prime example) and at least if they have to use cd-protection at least they are using "pros" but i still agree with you and i also would like to hear what ubi has to says im not impressed at the fact they have ignored us for this long... ubi needs to work on its customer relations i know whenever i need help at blizzard i fire em off an email and they reply to me within a day or two max so ubi would do good to learn how to treat their customers properly

Well, as long as I've been here, not a single post has been edited by someone other than themselves!

    NOT ONCE.

Where does it say that you can only install the downloaded game 5 times? I checked out the direct2drive site and it sez you can install an unlimited number of times.

quote:
How many times can I install the game I bought?
    - As many times as you like. As stated above, remember your game is for you alone. Each time you install it you deactivate any previous licenses.

    but here it says:

quote:
How can I save my download to cdrom?
    - Once you have downloaded the file you are welcome to save it for later on a cdrom. Save yourself time downloading again. Remember, each time you install and activate the game you are deactivating the previous license. Install wisely!

Wisely? Why would it matter, if you can install it unlimited times? There seems to be some doublespeak here.

hmm okay thanks coolhand for checking that out see i first heard about the five install thing in a review at ebgames now this has raised one more question...

    quote:
How many times can I install the game I bought?
    - As many times as you like. As stated above, remember your game is for you alone. Each time you install it you deactivate any previous licenses.

so if it deactivates the license of the previous time does that mean it can only be installed on one computer at a time even if you own both computers (which i serious do i have the home desktop my laptop and my desktop and i like to have my games installed on as many ofthem as i can) against CGLS factor too lazy to go from one computer to another but just out of curiousity is that what it means? and i also wonder where there "doublespeak" comes from you ahve a point why install wisely if you can install it as many times as you want?? i hope im not bothering you with all these questions im A)interested in getting answers and ubi doesnt seem interested B)hoping if we keep talking about this ubi might take interest and answer like most companies should...

PS if you hate putting up with the SF and cd-protection **** DO NOT GET GAMES FROM ASCARON i refuse to get them anymore because of their bs I installed Sacred on my new very high powered computer and the best ascaron could do is tell me i had spyware or something which is impossible concidering my desktop doesnt have internet...... duh their mods just said "oh yes sir we have our tech support working on your question full speed" i nagged them for three weeks and they just kept giving me that so i gave up on them and also the mod admitted that the US version of sacred the cds are so cheap they had a few reports of the cds "flying" apart in the computer... so after i heard that i told them to take their game and shove it... just some info if you ever are debating over an ascaron game
