I'm running Trigger Maru Overhauled. Mission objective in my new career is to drop supplies on New Guinea from my Balao. Date is June 16, 1943, I move as close to shore as possible at the designated drop off point, barely avoiding running aground, but nothing happens.
Obviously I'm missing something, I can't find any suitable button/command for dropping off the supplies. It probably is something very basic, but I can't figure it out.
    Any help, pls?

I'm pretty sure a window pops up but if not there should be some sort of icon in the upper right corner of the screen that you can click on (like the anchor when in range of a port) that should bring it up.

Yes, I expected something like that, but I'm afraid to run aground if I go any closer to the drop point. My Balao is no amphibian.

    You have to be stopped.

Some people have said that you need to actually surface within range, but the one I did I am pretty sure I ran in on the surface. You could try submerging and surfacing again.

You don't have to be submerged, then surface. You just have to be surfaced, and then stop engines within a certain distance of the shore. My last patrol was a supply drop.

Hi...I got this info from this site when I first began. 1. Zoom way in on the marker. 2. Use the compass tool to draw a circle 2500 (yrds?) wide from the center of mark. 3. Get (slowly) inside that mark on surface. (I only do this in the wee hours)

A menu will pop up, with the option to launch boat or (I think) postpone. Launch boat and get out of the way of the rubber raft that will appear.

I am very grateful for the folks who provided me with this and other info on this site.

Thanks guys, you solved my "problem".
The crucial thing was to stop the boat when close to the drop off marker. Once the boat came to a complete halt a menu popped up, just like bammac3 said.
After the rubber raft got launched the yellow drop off marker turned grey and the mission objective status completed. Then I got my next mission objective...
