I can't update to 1.4b to get protractor tool

Goth could u tell me any tool in original version (not patched to 1.4) that could replace protractor? There is a "compass" but it only shows distance no 0-360

Why can't you install version 1.4b? Have you tried reinstalling (uninstall first) the game and install the patch after that?
The 1.4b patch also says it's gonna install version 1.3... but that's a wrong information. It's actually gonna install v1.4b.
If it really doesn't work, there is number of mods that can replace the protractor. But i didn't really like any of them so far. Maybe someone else can recommend you one. But if i were you, i'd really try again to patch the game because the patch has quite a few more important changes in store.

Dunno I've tried everything but it just doesn't
Ok I'm gonna just take ship's bearing on map with compass tool but since there are no 0-360 measurements I'll just take it approximately, I don't think it'll have much influence on course calculation
