That looks pretty cool, and I definitely think I'll have to give SH3 Commander a try while I'm starting this latest career.
However, I really like being able to put your previous Kaleuns on the in-game Aces list as well - it's kind of like playing against the "ghost car" of your best lap in some racing games - every time you get back to port you get to see how your current Kaleun is faring not only against the real Kaleuns but also against your best previous careers![]()
I'm not sure exactly what you mean here - the way I figured this would work is that you would only put the sinking data for your dead/retired Kaleuns (and probably only your pretty good ones at that) into the Aces list file - that only gets done once, after those Kaleuns are no longer active, so there shouldn't have to be any updating after patrols or anything like that (as you go through new careers/patrols with new Kaleuns, the game should use that data to put those dead/retired guys at the right place on the list with the right tonnage each time without you having to do anything else).Originally posted by ILikePortillos:
Sweet! I got it working! And I'm not even on the bottom of the list (although I'm second to last). It definitely helps to update it after each patrol. Just don't activate it at the top until another patrol is started.
What I meant was that it's easier for me to add new sunken ships to the list after a patrol on an ongoing basis, rather than taking up 15 minutes to go down the entire list after a career is over. It's just a personal preference. Then, when the career is over, if I think the Captain is worthy, I include him by adding another number to the code at the top:Originally posted by panthercules:
