Does anyone know what a stamp is? I'm referring to the achievement: "Earn 3 stamps a week, for 4 straight weeks."
Here is what I have figured out so far...
It seems that badges and medals are generally awarded for types of exercise.
Medals: 6 for activities, 9 for workouts, and 8 for classes.
Badges: 12 for activities, 18 for workouts, and 16 for classes.
In addition there are four more badges: one for your 3rd visit and one for your 10th visit (both of these are on the main menu screen). The other two more badges are found on the My Progress screen, but I'm not sure what I did to earn one of them: "30' feel the burn"? There is another blank badge next to this so I have no idea what it is called or what you need to do to earn it.
So there are 50 badges in total and 46 of those are awarded for activities, workouts, and classes. Each exercise sub-menu has two badges: Apprentice and Specialist. I've not figured out what you do to earn these.
However, each time you do, say, a Wall Breaker session or Boot Camp session you earn 1/8 of a medal. At some point you get the Apprentice badge and then you get the Specialist badge. Once you have completed 8/8 sessions (it doesn't matter what difficulty or intensity you do) you will earn a medal. And in total there are 23 medals corresponding with the 23 types of exercise (46 badges because there are two badges for each exercise).
However, if each of those pieces of a medal is supposed to be a stamp then I have no idea why I don't have that achievement yet. Of course, a stamp could be something completely different.
Has anyone else figured any of this out?
Would it harm Ubishaft to provide some documentation to explain how things work? If the purpose of the stamps, badges, and medals is to motivate us then wouldn't it be helpful to know what we do to earn them rather than seeing random messages appear at the end of a session telling us we have earned a badge/medal?
I'm going to jump in and give a guess about stamps. I don't have my YSFE 2012 yet; I have it on order and should receive it on Tuesday. But I do have the "Body and Brain Connection" and it uses daily stamps. My guess it that the YSFE 2012 stamps might be something similar. That is, each day you do something you get a stamp on your calendar. You can only earn one stamp pre day. So, it seems to me that if you do at least one workout pre day 3 times a week for four straight weeks you will earn the stamps achievement. Does that sound reasonable to you?
Hey NanoParticle, I've not seen you for some time.
Aha! I think you're right. If I go to the Calendar screen in the game it does show a stamp on the days I've visited. Thanks.
By the way, despite what might appear to be my many unappreciative grumbles, the new version is superb. I think you're really going to enjoy it as there is lots in it to keep the interest going even for those of us who played the original game a lot. The developers have really worked really hard to deliver a much improved version.
I received my "Calorie Killer" badge today but I'm still mystified about it. When I finished my second to the last workout section this morning the trainer voice said, "You're a real calorie killer", after I punched my calories. I did not receive the badge at that point. When I completed the next section I saw a pop-up message saying I had earned the "Calorie Killer" badge. I don't know what triggered it.Originally posted by euler_13:
Has anyone figured out what that mysterious badge on the My Progress screen called "Calorie Killer" is awarded for?
Another thing I'm wondering about is "Trophies". When I look in the Your Shape Center section within the game I see I have earned 26 trophies (the other day it was 23). They don't seem to correspond to the metals or badges and I have no idea what they represent. Any ideas?
Yes, I got the calorie killer the other day. However, I had heard the message, "You're a calorie killer" before I got it and I've heard it since. In other words, I think that message she says does not correspond with earning the badge. The badge is earned for completing at least 60 minutes of exercise time in one day.
You were spot on with the stamps. I earned that earlier this week too. So I can confirm that you earn a stamp for a particular day when you complete any session on that day.
With reference to the trophies. They are earned when you complete challenges with friends or events via the Your Shape Center; they have nothing to do with badges and medals. You've obviously got a lot of friends!
Hmm, actually I don't have a lot of friends. So I'm wondering if this trophy count includes challenges and events I did while still using YSFE 1. I was doing a lot of goals and challenges when my in-game calorie count was broken in YSFE 1 since the goals and challenges were the only tools I had to keep track of any progress for a while. It's the only thing that makes sense to me because I've only done one challenge, 2 goals and am currently participating in my first event (that is still on going) since getting YSFE 2012.Originally posted by euler_13:
