    I just watched a newsreel from 1943 showing the crew loading an external torpedo in streaming broadband.God!What a job that was!You can see those Kriegsmarine newsreels free at

    I know the website but my 56k connection is too "middle Age" for streaming Videos.

    You find all other newsreels there too. I like the one in which the V-2 is presented with Wagners "Ride of the valkyries" in the background.

    You have to register on that site,just like on this forum.It takes about 24 hours and they give you a password,then you can see the newsreels just like a 5" T.V. set in streaming broadband.Excellent quality.
    I put in the years 1939 to 1945 and searched for all "Kriegsmarine" related.These are the actual newsreels shown in the German cinema during the war.

    The only problem is that the site is mostly in english but the titles of the newsreels are in german.

    For an example , you have to search for :

    u-boot instead of u-boat

    and ameri(k)a instead of ameri(c)a

    But with an dictionary this should be no problem for the english speaking visitors of the site.
