Just stumbled across a collection of really good WW2 aircraft photos, belonging to Captain Joseph J. Merhar Jr. The website doesn't say much about him, but I'm guessing from his photos that he was part of B-26 Marauder crew. He certainly knew how to take a good photo!![]()

These are awesome shots of B-26s, you can almost feel their speed, they must have been a fun plane to fly.
I'm also noting that the Spitfire has clipped wingtips, meaning that it is a low altitude interceptor. I read this before, but can somebody check my assertion?![]()
