That frame gives structural support to the barrel. They propably had a vibration problem caused by that high rate of fire which they solved that way.


The turrets are to be placed all around a camp, enabling the system to shoot down everything that flies towards it.

Its the same concept that is used on warships to shoot down anti-ship missiles.

Israel uses a similar system known as Iron Dome and the USA also has one but i dont know what its name is or wether its already in service.

So I'm getting LASIK in a week. Went for a 3 hour evaluation today to get all my measurements, diagrams, pressures, etc etc



And how my eyes look (real good, actually)

Which method of LASIK did you recieve ?

- The old one, where *shivers while even thinking about that* , they cut into your Cornea and flap it to the side before they can start lasering the iris and lens underneath ....

or

- The new one where they dont need to do that anymore as the new laser beams are able to pass through the Cornea without harming it.

Mariner Valley as seen in Orbiter They used real Mars photos to make the Mars texture. Currently matching orbits with Deimos. Its texture was made using the telescope images, along with Phobos.

This video is especially cool. It looks as if the telescope is moving but in fact its staying exactly in place while the 747 around it moves.

You could buy youself an entire fleet of 747's for the price of that telescope.

Here is another strange new sport i've just recently learned of when seeing some people play it on the now closed Tempelhof airport.
Its called Jugger


I like it because it involves hitting other people with a stick. Let me announce here that im absolutely pro-hitting people with a stick.

In fact, i think certain people should be hit with a stick for a variety of reasons.

Im not fully in on the rules yet. In this match, some are even carrying shields which i haven't seen in other matches.
