How does one become head-man of the village ?

Is it due to his age or do people just agree on someone they trust ?

Start with bribery and corruption and work downwards from there.

I had a feeling it would be just that.
The system of Tunisia works exactly the same way.

A little bit of Baksheesh here , another bit of Baksheesh there.... and every "no " turns quickly into a smiling "Of course ! "
I remember how 10 Deutsche Mark quickly opened the gates to the 1341 years old Great Mosque of Kairouan which was actually closed because of renovations.

I dont have the photos in digital form but here it is

How did you come to live in Thailand Kielhauler, were you stationed there with the military?

That's a negative, Wernher. I have never been in the armed forces. My father was but foolishly I turned down the chance many, many years ago. Oh well.

Nice pics, i see the strong similarity. What city is that?

I first went to Thailand with a friend in January 2007 and hated every second of it. Too much culture shock. Went back again in June 2007 and met and fell in love with a beautiful Thai girl with a wacky sense of humour, a personality malfunction and a winning smile.

    I was smitten.

I keep a place over there which she lives in, has her own motorbike and we talk every day, now that she's out of prison. She admits she's been an idiot but I already knew that. That now makes two of us.

Cannot wait to get out of the UK and back over there for keeps. This country sucks.

This is one of my fave pics of her. We were with some friends at a go-kart track just outside Chiang Mai. I must have said something wrong 'cos the next thing I knew was "INCOMING!"

Foe's professor frequently says interesting things, and does not hear what exactly he is saying. Such as stating that Earth was created 14.6 billion years ago. And confirm it after a student's question.

But today, it seemed that he also doesn't look at what he is drawing.

He was trying to explain how the Earth's axis tilt is being influenced by the Sun and the Moon. Look at the labels on diagrams. Also, look at the last sentence of the projector slide. Someone doesn't proofread

[edit] hard to see on my screen, looks better on a phone. "Currently Earth's axis points to the North Start

Exactly half an hour later he noticed. It's hard to see, sorry.

From a certain point of view , there is even a little bit of "right" in what he said.

To his defence, he could simply argue that he was referring to the matter earth and we are made of which is indeed, and logically, as old as the universe itself.

Celeon wanted to take Astrophysics back in school but the class was full. So he was forced to switch to Microbiology and hunting amoeba around, watching them having osmotic lunch.

BTW : So he also claimed we have a binary solar system ? Must have been an early monday morning ?

I like the sound of an 'osmotic lunch'? Is it tasty? And does it come with french fries and salad?
