    The only thing I'd be worried about with a reconditioned X-52 is that you could end up with an older serial number (i.e. with the faulty firmware).

    For X45s, reconditioned has always been the way to go.

    Thanks for the tip, BC!

    I've been eyeing the 52 since it came out but the price seemed a bit too steep. It's a vast improvement over the 45, IMO.

    Heck, I can send it back if I have problems with it the first month.

    faulty firmware ... older serial number .. i got my stick on day or its release and it seems great o_O

    I imagine they would update the firmware if they reconditioned it... I still use an X-45 with my MSFFB2/CH pedal setup..

    Just don't try to get a reconditioned one shipped to Hawaii (or Alaska I suppose) - price comes to nearly the same as brand new.
