Well done fellas![]()

It would seem Goose_green will finally return to the Atlantic and do battle once again! And it has been a very long time too!
EDIT
Since I have been away from the game for a while can someone tell me what the latest version of SH3 commander is? And lastly, is there a SH3 Cmdr fix for this latest version of GWX?

The current CFG for GWX2.1 will suffice until a new CFG is released in the near future.

This mod seems all well and good, but I now I have re download SH3 (Direct2Drive) because it doesn't work.
You should really work on getting it an uninstaller that doesn't mean you have to REINSTALL SH3 vanilla. For this day and age it's a bit rediculous that I should have to uninstall the entire game and then reinstall just to play again.
Oh and what's that? I also have to delete all of my save games.
Warning to anyone downloading this, make sure it will work with your system before hand. As per the GWX Manual:
"If you wish to uninstall GWX, then simply (lol) uninstall Silent Hunter III, delete all the folders in you rinstallation directory (e.g., C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII), and delete the 'SH3' folder in the 'My Documents' folder."
This is a prewarning for any new players who don't know about the mod scene like me. There is no other warnings about this like there should be.
I suppose the same rules/warning apply to any game prior to install for that matter.Originally posted by gfdark:

GWX comes with a comprehensive manual (also available separately from the GWX website) and as such I would have thought anyone intending to install the mod would read it prior to committing themselves or at the very least be someone who frequents the sub simming community sites where GWX is well posted/documented and discussed.
BTW....you might also consider an addittional install in order that you can keep your previous saved games.
I hope this will not detract from your GWXperience.

Are you a modder gfdark? If so, do you know an easy, quick way to make an uninstaller for a massive mod like GWX?Originally posted by gfdark:

I suspect not...
If you were a modder, then you'd know how much time it takes to research, plan, build and test a mod - even a small one. I strongly advise you to consider that fact in the way you offer criticisms and suggestions.
Perhaps it's just the way you phrased your complaint, but it sounds to me like you need to consider the fuller picture here. I suggest you think about what you HAVE got, rather than what you haven't. You've got many thousands of hours' work - a whole team of people's own free time - for FREE.
How many hours would you like the GWX team to spend on making an unsintaller (if it's even possible to do so), instead of spending time on finding new ways to improve the actual game experience? Or even spending time with their families and friends???Originally posted by gfdark:

I'd say you're the one at fault here, for presuming free software will do everything you expect it to - rather than reading the manual or simply asking for advice before installing something you didn't know much about!
Lol, an uninstall package file can target direct files, folders, and even replace them with others.
Before you're going to come here and insult me like the queen ****ing bee of Shiva do your God damned homework. I never insulted the mod. I simply stated a fact that needs to be known. Most mods can be installed and uninstall in any game. Sorry that you don't know as much as you think you do.
