True - the files at filefront are missing for a few days.

Here is a working link to a GWX3.0.ZIP file:

sorry - maybe a stupid question, but I have the Steam version of SH3 and it's only showing "v1.4" not 1.4b. Am I safe to install or should i be looking for the 1.4b patch? (not sure if steam will allow one of their hosted games to be messed with by an offline patch...?)

Just wondered if anybody here has installed GWX3 onto their clean steam SH3 installs and had it work ok...?

    Thanks again.

You're good to go with v1.4, but remember to point the GWX installer to the steam directory.

it is a very impressive mod. Show so much work and attention to detail. But unfortunately its just not for me, and I've un-installed it.

Basically, while returning from my second mission (which is tedious enough as it is), I eventually decided to ESC back to base just to stop getting the millions of seemingly pointless messages on the radio. I stopped reading them after one seemed to be telling me to return to Kiel, but when I ESC'd back to base to check which port I was now supposed to be based at, it took me back to my normal base - so that one seemed completely wrong.

Sorry, but too many messages are as bad, if mot worse, than not enough of them as I never read them anymore and could well miss an important one.

anyway, after ESCing back to base I just felt I couldn't face another long tedious trip to my next mission constantly interupted by less than useful radio blurbs.

    ANyway - there it is.
