I've only finished the first dozen or so missions, but so far it's been excellent, and I'm looking forward to the rest. Briefings are well done (Personally, I find them to be the hardest part of mission building, so kudos), skins are also excellent, and the missions themselves are well put together.

I've finished the campaign and must say it's a really good one.
Same opinion here like Divine Wind.
A very detailed little world on the ground and some stories mentioned before in the briefings are seen there. That gives a nice "Live" Feeling to the whole campaign.
The missions are challeging and attractive, and with the briefings and historically background the campaign let me desire for the next 3 tiers...

    Good work

I would love to play your campaign. Can you tell me in which version of IL2 you made it.
I have 1946 4.08m but i don't have soldiers or some other objects you used.
And please tell me how you did it? I am just a new guy who realy wants to learn to make campaigns.

thanks and good luck with your new campaigns.

    DutchEric,

The campain will not run on 4.08 you need 4.09 with some mods installed.

Below is the content of the read me file with exactly what is require (link paths removed as not allowed on this forum) but it gives you the full details of what you need installed to play the campain.

If you decide to go ahead and install what is required drop me a pm and I will upload the campain files somewhere where you can download them from.

As for learning to build missions and campains the best place to start learning is http://www.il2-fullmissionbuilder.com/index.php excellent site and also this forum is great too for questions and things that are not covered on there.

ok so here is the read me..
    -------------

Welcome to Just One Mans Story Part 1 by Mr C
You may want to print this read me before you start the campain.

You should have 3 main folders with this read me.

    The campain
    Additional Files
    Screenshots

    ------------------------

    The campian

Inside this folder is a folder called "joms"
Copy this "joms" folder inside the following path:
    Whatever your il2 Directory/Missions/Campaign/GB/

    Starting this campaign......

    ******IMPORTANT *****
You will need LAL_Normandie-44 and flyzo BOB MOD maps as well as the Gladiators and Sptifire mkI MOD
    to play this campaign.

You need to have patched to 4.09b and have the MOD Uni Installer v1.0 installed...
from *****(You will need to register to download)

You can get the Uni Installer from here *****

You will also need the language fix for English and the RAF ranks fix both can be found at this site.
You can get Normandie Map from here *****
You can get the BOB map from here *****

The aim in all missions is to make it home and land (Except mission 1 which is a take off/recon mission)

You may also find (deliberately) that on the train recon mission your waypoints do not take you all the way
to the train (or else it wouldn't be a night navigate as it is intended).

Select the Group Captain rank at campaign start screen.
This will ensure you are in the correct plane for which the campaign has been created.

Once you start a campaign the difficulty settings are then locked on
the GUI and you cannot amend them.

I have tested this campaign on full difficulty settings with the exception of:
    Map Icons ON
    Minimap Path ON
    External Views ON

but it should be fine whatever settings you use but dont use Instant Success. Also be aware without the map
settings on you will be required to navigate by looking at the surroundings.

    Playing the campaign
You primarily fly a hurricane MKI but when bombing ground targets is required...
I have had to sub this for the MKII.

    ------------------------

    Additional Files
Inside this folder you should have 2 folders and 2 files

The skins folder contains skins for the aircraft used in this campain.
    Copy this folder to :
    Whatever your il2 Directory/PaintSchemes
If prompted to overwrite say yes to all

The gb.wav is background music from the period if you want to use this on...
your main IL2 menu screen then go to :
    Whatever your il2 Directory/samples/Music/Menu/
Rename your existing gb.wav to something link gb_original.wav
Then copy in the gb.wav from this campain

The speech folder replaces AI pilots speech in the game.
    To use it go to:
    Whatever your il2 Directory/Samples/Speech/GB/
rename the GB folder to something like GB_Original
then copy the GB folder from this campain into
    Whatever your il2 Directory/Samples/Speech/

The Background.tga is a file that will give you the campain background
image as the campain loads if you want to use this....
    Go to...
    Whatever your il2 Directory/Missions/Campain/GB/
rename your original background.tga to something like background_original.tga
and copy and paste in the background.tga from this campain.

    --------------------------

Screenshots is exactly what it says on the tin.

    --------------------------

All of the mission were created by myself, but the sound files and skins used
in this campaign are from other campaigns I have downloaded and credit goes to those people who created them.

I got all the files form campaigns and skins downloaded from the website Mission 4 Today and can strongly recommend it.

    Hope you enjoy the campaign.
