(Rant)First let me say that logging on to post on this site was an nightmare of epic proportions I literally went through like 3 days of errors!
(Question) does anyone have a routine for an out of shape guy? I cant get through the 4 or 5 routines of straight lunges....
(suggestion)it should be more user friendly as in take my profile and give me the different routines without jumping through so many hoops.
Thanks for any help

After you finish the fitness test, it should give you a list of programs. Make sure you pick the ones that say both "beginner" and "recommended". Those would probably be your best bets.

The update will have to wait. I went into some cardio workouts, but my legs are still too sore from trying to do all those lunges. I'll update after my recovery. Lol

Ok, Just got through following your suggestion. I have a watch with a heart monitor and a 30 min timer mode. It has a 5 min warm up which I did the virtual smash then I did the cardio thing where they make you do the side and front punches along with leg lifts etc. I did those twice which tuckered me out pretty well. Then I did the remainder of the time with virtual smash and the hula game and the light race (only because i had not tried those before) I'm going to try and work up to 5 mins virtual smash and 20 mins cardio and 5 mins doing something else to cool down. Any suggestions as to how often to worl out?

work out as often as you feel, everyone is going to give you a different answer to that question. since you said being out of shape, i would do every other day (i used to be huge, 3 knee surgeries and mutiple injuries caused me to be bed ridden for almost 2 years (never hit 400lbs but close though)). I started off every other day, giving me a day of rest to recover. Now i do cardio 3 days a week and weight lift 3 days a week. Start off slowly, don't want to get to sore that it keeps you from doing it on a schedule.
and lunges suck
my knees don't function right to do them properly.

You definitely don't want to do cardio every single day of the week. Throw in at least a couple days of weight training. When you're doing nothing but cardio, your muscles atrophy as cardio burns away both fat and muscle, so you need to balance it out with a couple of heavy weight days, or at least some sort of strength training that will tax your muscles in both your upper and lower body.
(A number of men will focus so much on the upper body, they end up having a well built upper body sitting on top of two scrawny little chicken legs. You don't want that.)
Take at least one rest day each week where you are allowing your body and muscles to recover. If you are out of shape, take two or three days off (though not all in a row) until your body adjusts to the exercise. You don't want to strain or overdo.

TTZanatech, glad at your progress. bekkilyn I was about to ask what you suggest for weight exercises, but I see theres a new DLC which according to them has added muscle building. if you have any suggestions I'm listening.
