But I didn’t so I made my way back to the after party
To enquire around if anyone knew the name of the shorty
I can’t believe I met true love and lost her almost instantly
As I reminisce in the thoughts of what could have been
I feel like a shipwrecked matey whose just used his last flare
Or like a young kid whose just scuffed his new pair
I leave the bar to go home outside the scent is still in the air
Surely this can’t be as I look up and she’s standing there
Looking at me and smiling “I came backâ€Â� is what she says
As I take a hold of her hand and plan it to always be this way
