Here's another problem you WILL encounter with replaceing a psu in a Dell. A standard unit will not configure into the Dell case. I replaced the psu for my Dimension8250, by ordering from pcpowerandcooling.com. They have a line especially for Dells. The bad part is that they cost alittle more. But on the flip side, you are getting a quality part. Your other alternativeis to physically alter the exsisting case to make another psu fit properly. This will most likely involve cutting into the case. Not my idea of fun!

I just called the local shop and asked what a 300 watt psu was worth they said 50 bucks obviously that sounds like it not going to do the job at hand. I will check with ati for tech requirements. If you have any suggestions im all eyes!

Ya know it sure speaks volumes of how great the people are that play this game that I can get this advice.

If the dell case is a problem it will be replaced.

I truly do appricate all of your input.

Ford fan you may be right. I could get rid of the micro form faxtor board and get a standard atx. I can probably get a deal on a case with psu in it.

My main question was not so much to do with hardware. However seems its gone that way.

Luckyboy thanks for the link on the psu. I'm off to do some shopping.

Have a good Easter weekend boys i'm headin out of town for 4 days.
