Apparently the tidal wave of cancellations have made an impact on Ubisofts position on the filter. A patch is being worked on so it will be turned ON by default but be optional at the user level and they added a big warning splash screen.. wow..who would have thought of that <G>
What I REALLY hope is that now that people have realized that this needed to be done, they allow the Dev team to roll back to an earlier version of the game before all the features were ripped out and the filter was applied.. Looking at the Russian version, a lot of the place holder filters are not good in comparison..
What I REALLY hope for is that they will be able to heavily optimize the games use CPU's and GPU's..but I think that may be impossible..
It does give me confidence that the game will eventuially end up being what we had all waited for..
It's not being fickle. It's demanding something worthwhile in return for your hard-earned money. The epilepsy filter degraded the visuals, trashed the already iffy framerate, and disabled SLI. The game was in a completely broken state with the filter, and Luthier even said as much. People didn't cancel because it was a minor glitch.![]()
I guess you've never bought another title from UBI but for IL-2. Had you done so you'd be pessimistic as well. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>Originally posted by BSR_RuGGBuTT:

Oh ye of little faith who cancelled your orders.
Ubisoft had Tonic Trouble, my daughter and I had a blast playing it, was was very fun and challenging in the 1990's!
GRAW 1 and 2. Ravenshield. R6: Vegas. Lock On Modern Air Combat. SH4. Just to name a few. UBI is better at screwing up a game/sim than it is at releasing something worthwhile and supporting it.Originally posted by RamsteinUSA:
