Don't get too excited! I entered my correct weight (182 pounds) and the calorie counting is still way, way off. If you go for the maximum (I think it's about 440 pounds) it gets closer, but even then it's below what I would be burning. I currently estimate that the game is returning 25% of the correct count in most workout exercises.
However, I'm leaving my proper weight in because I am a foolish optimist and I'd like to believe that because Ubisoft actually care about their customers they will fix the problem soon. However, I would suggest that the developers actually employ a proper sports scientist consultant rather than getting their "facts" from their mates down the local pub. If they have employed real consultants then we need to know which university they are affiliated with in case any of us live in the area and were thinking of paying to send our kids there to study sports science.
But, trifid73, you're absolutely right. Why haven't we been informed by Ubisoft on the official forums about the new feature and the changes that the 2nd patch has introduced?
Thanks, NanoParticle, for pointing it out to us.
Well, I do see that they mentioned it on their YSFE 2012 Facebook page yesterday. Of course that was well after I, a simple user, posted it here.Originally posted by trifid73:
Thanks Nano Particle, this really helps the calorue count.
I'm not sure why Ubisoft didn't tell us about this new feature!?!And after lots of folks had a meltdown about the dramatic dip in calorie counts. It would certainly be nice to receive announcements before or at least shortly after major stuff is changed.
