I guess that many of us have been really frustrated with some of the exercises which we are convinced we are doing right only to discover that in some instances there is a subtle movement which perfects the tracking. It may not be natural, or immediately obvious, and it certainly isn't right that we should need to do this, but for those us who obsess about getting things right it allows you to that get 100% we desire. I thought it would be useful to start a thread where we can share any subtle observations we've made which could help others. Also bear in mind that comments have been made that body shape, environmental lighting, and so on, can influence the tracking, but if you think it might help then please share.
I'll start off with three which I've recently perfected. I hope I'm not patronising anyone, as everyone else may have already realised, but just in case you'd not noticed...
(1) Toning: Sumo Squat
My squats were always okay, but the arm indicators would flash green and grey. However, I noticed that each upward/downward movement is done in four slightly jerky steps. Starting with the hands in low position, there is an intermediate middle position which is best described as a W shape (made with your left arm, head, and right arm), then up, then middle position again, then down. I found that a momentary pause at each of these positions will allow 100% arm movement every time. Now I've mentioned this, watch the trainer and you'll see that she does it.
(2) Toning: Side Squat
This was very irregular scoring until I realised that it is important that when you step to each side you do not bring your legs too tightly together. Leave a short open stance before going into the squat. If you bring your legs together before the squat it will intermittently not register properly.
(3) Cardio Boxing: Uppercut
This really frustrated me as it often didn't register properly. I have found that if you bring your non-punching hand down low close to your side (or even slightly out of sight behind your back) it will register almost every time.
I hope these help.
I would appreciate any advice on Toning: Sumo Rising. My arm movements often don't register and I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.
On the Platinum Cardio Boxing, the punch-lunge on the second half of the kick/punch-lunge routine often fails to register. I know I am doing it perfectly (the first half is perfect). However, I notice that the on-screen trainer always seems to get out of sync himself; towards the end he seems to go in fast forward to finish the last rep off, suggesting that this is just a glitch in that particular DLC?

Thanks for the tips, however I just can NOT get the Sumo Squat to register. At all. I end up doing a little hoe-down jig and somehow get more % that way!
