Learning curve is tough but keep at it. It becomes easy.

You gotta be careful with x3 though, it can eat away at your life! Evening meals become inconveniences, days off no longer involve other people, and sleep is something for suckers once you buy your first transport ship and watch it rolling in the credits for you... - no kidding, i was addicted to that game once upon a time (back in good old days of being an undergraduate)

They should bring out a multiplayer x3 game, where you build up your factory's etc against other people, that'd be neat.

And yeah, ive been watching the dev of spore for over 2 years now, because it was that long ago when it was first penned in for release and has been put back ever since!

Let's remember Half-Life 2... It was a year late, supposedly cause Source code was stolen by some Russian student. But, when the game finally came out, it looked, and still looks, quite awesome.

I hope Spore will be like that too. Never heard of it up to now. And I have a feeling it won't diasppoint me, because:

a)It's Maxis, which never disappointed me, and
    b)It's not Ubisoft

I still won't pre-order though. Wait a month or so, read some reviews, then decide if i want it or not
