They had lots of reasons for him not to testily in open court whatsoever. Not the least is the Bush and Ben-ladin families had/have intimate ties.Originally posted by thefruitbat:
I agree.
Wouldn't of been to clever to catch him alive.
Hope they shot him in the balls, before in the head.
Look it up.
Anyway I hope this was Ben Ladin they killed.
Top notch job by the US Forces (according to the initial reports we are seeing).
Great for the morale of the United States and the countries he targeted in general.
From a less emotional standpoint I cannot see that his "removal from the chain of command" will make a massive difference in their terrorist operations and someone will be ready to step up to take over.
They cannot let this pass without more attacks but then you could argue that they were going to do that anyway.
But if you live in Europe, especialy the UK, keep yours eyes wide open. Remember we have the largest amount of terrorist suspects roaming the streets outside of the middle east.
But huge respect for an extremely well carried out operation.
On a side note it will be intresting to watch how the UK media report on this in the coming weeks. It's an operation that has gone very well and the UK media never like that. Sky News are already casting questions on the legality of an "assassination" (their phrase) type mission.
But personally I'm glad the b@st@rd's got what was coming to him.
To use an American saying: "Payback's a b!tch!".
How did he die exactly I wonder? Was it something impersonal like a grenade thrown into a room, or was he gunned down while defiantly screaming God is Great and firing an AK from the hip? Perhaps he was dragged out from under a bed, or tried to bargain for his life? Like most tyrants, it's often interesting to know how they met their end.
