An alternative method if you want to cherry pick from any mod is to find the files you like, then copy them into the game folders using the folder structure of the mod.
You can also customize water density to your liking by using SH3 Commander. It has an option to choose the density of water, from clear to dense or anything in between.

Ok I just installed and played with the addition of SH3cmder. Things went fine for the first 1.5 patrols. Then I was like cool, lets just pan left to check out what cities are listed now on the world oh, warsaw....CRASH.... so I reload my game have to start 2nd patrol over, decide to see if panning left to check out cities was a fluke and CRASH again. I am just about ready to dust this puppy. S O S
I think that the Mod Guys are great. They work hard to help make the game better. Thanks
However I too had to remove RUB 144 from my game. I am not very good at doing the installs if it is more the download the click on the install Icon and it is done and done right.
I hasve tried the match folders and it made things go nuts in the game play. I uninstalled the game 4 times so far and reinstalled it to fix the problems of not knowing how to install the mods right so far the only one I got to work is No Fatuge Mod.
Sorry I am not good at installing Mods, but I love the game and am good at playing it as reialistic as possible. I would be happy to download a step by step instruction on how to with each mod. If it is not click and install then instruction on open folder and drag and drop is good. But I need the right path to the right folder to do that, again Sorry for my inability to do this.Again Mod Guys Thanks...

I can't say why you are having difficulty installing mods using the mod installer. All I know is that I have no trouble with most of the mods as they are compatible with the installer, if the installer is itself set up correctly. Not being there to see how you do it is the difficulty.
With the mods that do not use the installer, I find the simplest thing to do is to exactly copy the folder structure as in the game. For example, the mod has a folder data\menu\gui, then you copy the folder over to the game directory and just let it overwrite. Or, you can copy and paste the files from the mod folder into the exact same folder in the game.
