    S!

I can't get PF(merged) to display 1280x1024. I changed res accordingly in the confi.ini and put SaveAspect=0, but in the game video mode the highest setting remains 1280 x 980. If I set it to that in the menu figuring that the config would override the menu setting, no dice--the config has gone back to 1280x980 and SaveAspect is back to =1. Anyone have any tips for this to work?

    Thanks.

Maybe do not go into in game menu and video settings?
Does it start in 1280x1024 after editing config.ini?

Once you have set it in the config file that is it...don't fiddle anymore otherwise you'l just change it back! Once in the config file it is done and the game will start in 1280x1024. You have to remeber that all the setup menu does is change the settings in the config file, so if you change the stup you will just undo what you just did.

Lucas_Valentine mentioned it in another thread. Go into the game folder, open the confi.ini file, under [window] change height=(whatever it is set at) to height=1024 and SaveAspect=1 to SaveAspect=0.

Excellent Lucas!Ive been trying to sort that for ages!So the trick is despite what your intuition might suggest dont go near the video modes display and change settings even though it says 800x640 or whatever. The conf.ini has done the work and leave it.By the way I found if you monkey around with these settings "in game" too much you may not be able to restart the game.If so just stick in 1024x768 back in with save aspect =1 and restart game. Thanks again Lucas!

Always keep a backup or two of your "conf" file when you get it the way you want it...especially before applying a Pach.
