That IS bad.
Think about this. If the temp of the oil in a perfectly sealed container (filled with air) rises, then the pressure in the container will also rise.
An engine, however, leaks pressure like a sieve.

Yes or to be more direct to the issue and simple......Lack of oil (dropping pressure) results in more friction, hence higher temperatures the oil being heated by the components more then normal.

Uh, thanks guys. You see, I meant this as a game of sorts. You know, 'When the wife catches you with the girlfriend, that's bad.' I was counting on the general nature of this forum to substitute for stating the intent.
