Hopefully not all levels will have those stupid posters advertising another game. I'm sick of seeing them. Telling of where the focus really is at.Originally posted by Yen Lo:
So are all levels going to sp/coop like the Parking garage, with the tangos spawning/running to the same spot everytime?
Lockdown is just an expensive subliminal message: Buy Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.
Yes, unfortunately.Originally posted by Yen Lo:

I can state this with an utmost confidence as I've played the XBox version all the way through and there is nothing remotely different from the PC Demo we received other than new shader/lighting effects and a mouse/keyboard interface.
I just want to add:
For every one person who posts... And more importantly, does not post... On the UBI forums... There are probably 10-30 more people (avg.) who will take this one person's negative impression of the demo and not buy this game based soley on word-of-mouth alone.
This is important because, for example, you have people with Clan tags posting here stating they will not buy this game, but the real thing UBI should be concerned with is this isn't just one potential lost sale, but possibly 10-30 more lost sales because this person is in a Clan, has friends, associates and is part of other related game communities like the Tactical Gaming community at large, Specific sites like Agression, PlanetRainbow, Gamespot, Fileplanet, etc, etc.
Actually, I have it on good authority that LD was a HURRY UP AND GET IT OUT THE DOOR project.
A schedule of sorts was worked out between UBI and it's investors. UBI promised it's investors XXX dollars by XXX date. Failure to deliver on that promise would mean less investor interest the next time UBI goes to them, hat in hand.
That XXX date is at hand, so UBI had to get LD out the door AS IS.
This, of course, contradicts my early prediction that UBI will scrap the LD-PC project. But that is what happens when new intel is obtained.
New projections/predictions are made.
That's what slapped me in the face at first!Originally posted by KungFu_CIA:
LD fails to do even the basics well, imo, to where it feels like a game from the late '90s and not a title from 2006. The AI; linear maps; the enemy respawning BEHIND you in areas once cleared...
I could not believe we were back to the late '90s in terms of gameplay, technology (scripts, triggered events, respawning, ...) and overall feeling...
Even the marines of the first Half-Life had a much better AI than the tangos of Lockdown. And they did not respawn behind you. We talk about a science-fiction shooter of 1998! Think about it...
This Lockdown game is definitely a big joke! And not only for the tactical gamer, but for the FPS gamer alike!
