First off, after a long and enjoyable period of playing SH3, I uninstalled it over the weekend. Sooner or later, I've found that I exhaust a game's possibilities and I move on to another one. SH3 lastest longer than many. It also produced my Altmeier story, which I enjoyed writing.
After doing the unistall, as a precaution I ran the StarForce removal tool. My concern is finding out whether or not the removal actually worked. Is there any way I can find this out?
To see if you still have StarForce drivers on your machine, here's how to do:Originally posted by paulhager:

- right click on the workstation icon and choose properties
- then hardware tab, and click device manager
- in the device manager, open the view menu and select "show hidden files"
- then go to the "non plug-and-play devices" section, and look for devices with StarForce in the name. If you can't find any, StarForce is successfully out of your computer.

Glad to see you enjoyed the game. Thank you for your efforts, advice and writings. Although you are packing it in with this game, will you remain a member of this forum? I'd hate to see you leave.
I quit about 15 missions into Bruno Stachel VI's career, which I was planning to use for a Med transfer. Mission 14 was fairly exciting, and involved two separate convoy attacks in Jan 1941. On 15 I suddenly found the process of taking on another convoy tedious. I stopped and returned to the game later and I had the same reaction. I then reflected on what my goal was with the Med campaign. It was to determine if it was possible to have the same sort of combined air ops as I was able to achieve with Murmansk convoys. "Been there, done that," was my reaction. I'll leave it for someone else to write up reports showing that (1) Allied convoys do actually appear in the Med and (2) its possible to call in air support. Actually, all that is needed is to prove (1) since (2) should automatically follow.
