    Fairly easy this one, then.

Which was the first US Warship to be sunk by a U-Boat in WWII, and name the U-Boat who sunk her.

USS Reuben James (DD-245) was the first US-warship that was sunk in WWII. Sunk on 31 Oct, 1941 by U-552 (Topp) while escorting the british convoy HX-156 6 weeks before US entered the war.

Since my answer seems to be correct and I have no question ready (and hardly time to spare to search for one at the moment) I'm far from disappointed Goose_Green.

I'll jump in with a new question....

Which U-Boat (Number) had the phrase 'Le Vache Qui Rit' painted on it's conning tower and what does it translate as in English?

Bonus points if you can explain why, and how it came to be there and it's relationship to Prien's U-47.

Goose_Green is wishing he paid more attention in his French classes instead of dreaming of pretty French girls

    Interesting question RJ
