basically, Dr-Brot, the Pilgrims from England came to America and shared the Native Americans' land, then when the Indians had taught them all about farming and how to find food, the Pilgrims killed the Indians

But Thanksgiving is about when the Indians and the Pilgrims were still together, living peacefully

Seems to me a bit like our "Erntedankfest" with the diffence that it´s a Catholic day...

And why it´s being celebrated with the whole family!? What does that have to do with Indians and their help for the "White People"/discoverer??

Happy Thanksgiving.
a.k.a "kill an innocent turkey day" >.>
YAY for excuses for really good food.

@ dr-bot: Because that's how it was back then. It was a day to be thankful for life, so it would be celebrated with those close to you. >_>

What's wrong with celebrating with family? they're there for a reason, and not just to buy you presents for Christmas.
