Online Purchase of Far Cry & No CD KEY | Forums

I just bought the download version of far cry from UBI.com it came with a activation code to autherizer the download not a CD-Key so when I try to log in for multiplayer I have no CD-Key to enter. I have searched the registry for a key =NO LUCK.
Has anybody with the download version been able to play online ?
BTW the online is v1.4

i have same problem but i got a dvd sent to me from gainward when i bought my 8800 gts can install game play single player i have a accont on ubi ready to play mp but it asks for cd key havent found any one to be of any help not evven gainward has replyed

Make sure ubi did not email you your CD Key. If they havnt, email them with the recipt of the payment and demand they give u one

I have the same problem. I got the game from direct2drive.com When i connect to internet it keeps saying invalid key. I have contacted ubi support they just keep sending me stuff already posted which I have already done, pretty bad I d say. The key is encodded is wat D2d say to me. If you find something let me here please.

my friend just alittle bit ago did not recieve a cd key but only an activation code... what should he do?

With the Activation Code you should not Need a CD Key. That message is not supposed to pop up for Multiplayer. I played Multiplayer for about 2 months but had to reinstall and NOW it asks for a CD Key. I can't play Online anymore. Ubisoft won't give any answers other then the FAQ's crap so I really don't know how to fix this problem at this point. What I do know is I'll never download another game from them. With absolutely no support I'd rather just get the disk!

While this thread is 2 years old...I assume you are playing Far Cry. Could you let us know what exactly is going on that makes you unable to play? Have you looked at this Thread?
