These can be bad... but actually I never really saw anything quite like this... this brings dying at high speed to another level.

That`s grim. The way the stricken aircraft rolls towards the camera (and crowd) in that rolling spiral like some slow angel of death. Truly catastrophic.

Yeah I've seen that, and seen the report on it too, it was entirely pilot error; IIRC the pilot being some arrogant desk jockie type who thought he could do better than the top instructor. Horrific crash.

utube has to be one of the worse places for fool`s comments (and I don`t use the word fool lightly). Some of the terribly juvenile comments made to some awful terrible real-life stuff that has happened to people has made me want to beat the living cr@p outta the idiots . And I`m certain if I was in the same room I would if they didn`t quickly apologise.

All I can say is they simply don`t realise what they`re saying... Yet even children would know better. I would be hard pressed to find anyone say some of those crass things in public without risking a fist to the face. Utube is not a nice place for comments.

Ramstein, that incident was horrible, simply horrible. Afaik about 100 killed (burned to death) and lots more suffering up today. Some time ago they showed a docu on TV about how people are doing 10y (or so) after the incident.
They interviewed a guy, who saw his wife and little daugher burn to death. He himself was severly burned as well (you could see it from the recontruction work of the surgeons). A major part of his skin was burned by the Kerosene. His face is reconstruced but he tells that he is still having lots of pain, and going to have a sunbath or something like that is a big *nono* for him ever since. Im not gonna tell you how it looked/sounded like when he told how he lost his family there. Luckily he has found anohter wife in the meantime.
In general it was much liek Hiroshima, half of the people were killed and another half were *not so lucky* and still have to suffer from psychological and physiological problems. Some of them are still in treatment they said on this TV show.
I lived not too far from that area, and i tell you it was a major incident. Because of the plane being filled up with Kerosene, lots of people were horrible burnt. The USAF were not prepared to deal with that. They were frantically looking for German hospitals with special treatment ability for burnt people, yet even those facilities were by far not sufficient for such a number of victims.

I am somehow persosnally concerned, since i attended Ramstein in the previous years regularly with my dad, and were were the ones closest to the airstrip. Yet, this year i was drafted to the german army and couldnt attend.
Most prolly this saved my life.

As far as making jokes about that goes: put the *clowns* right in front of such a burnig wreck full of Kerosene. Problem solved. Either they get what they deserve due to a lack of respect for the deceased, or they maybe actually lern somehting.
