So i just completed the game.. but i have a question.
Is there any way to destroy units or recycle them?
I mean, any RTS worth it's salt allows you to disband/destroy buildings. The fact buildings count towards population means you sort of need to be able to moreso. If the answer to this question is a no.. then this great game is missing a key feature in my opinion. A simple one too.. schoolboy stuff
this game doesnt allow self destruct buildings because conquering buildings with infantry is a key element in the game. therefor there is no building self destruct and never will be (which is good).Originally posted by Joppsta:

You must be talking about the console version, since the PC version has no unit limit.Originally posted by Joppsta:

You can cancel buildings, before they are built, by clicking the deselect button over the buildings ghost.
well i've had my stupid moments and i've seen it done by others as well.
place a bunker/fire-unit near your building and it will kill it when attacking enemies behind the building. or have arty's do it but requires paying attention.
deleting buildings ingame would'nt improve strategic gaming as this is a cheap way of clearing your mistakes OR abusing a tactic to get the upperhand... imo
but you will get a faster production/research rate when having multiple buildings of the same type. also you will get your units faster to the frontline (strategic decisions)
Destroying buildings would make infantry significantly less useful, because you'd often destroy buildings right before the enemy would capture them.
The unit cap without a way to destroy units actually greatly rewards a smart player who builds only what is necessary and no more. I play on the PC and rarely have more than 50 units on the field at a time--I never see a particularly good reason to trash units.
