I actually think a lot of people agree with this and I'm American. Fit an finish are issues for American vehicles, plus waaay to many have large vehicle they don't need. If you're someone who hauls stuff on a daily basis, for instance a contractor, that's all fine and dandy.

Some one where I work bought a Ridgerunner, it's freakin' huge and there is no reason she needs it. It annoys the hell outta me. If you don't need a HUGE vehicle why get one?

    You see alot of these:

On the roads of the UK at the moment, partly because their design means they are tax efficient. While they might not be the size of an F150, they're still boats.

Also its something of a recurring thing in Top Gear, definitely something that works in the show anyway!

Guess it ain`t just men who need big show-off sex symbols then.

As for the thread title... It`s the English tongue of cheek jesting. And yet, I know some abroad will watch this and still say `F U` to the rest of us , cos they`ll take it all way too personally.

Wow, thats really cool looking, why don't we get cool vehicles like that in the states. I agree that you should buy the kind of vehicle you need, and no bigger. I hear eveyone complaining about how much they spend on gas and how they want to get a smaller vehicle, and then when they do get a new one it's some other big monstrosity! WTF m8?! I drive an 84 Pontiac Fiero, very fuel efficient, my fiance drives an '08 Mitsubishi Lancer that is also fuel efficient. We had a 2000 Chevy Blazer that ate gas like for breakfast, lunch, dinner and every hobbit meal in between. We don't miss it a bit, lol.

I disagree about fit and finish on American made vehicles, at least as an across the board statement. I bought a new Chevy pickup last fall as did my brother in law. Both trucks are, IMO, the best made vehicles we've bought. Head and shoulders above the junk made in the late 70s and early 80s.
