Seventy-five tons of good-night, Irene. Those lumbering Daishis were over-rated and over-modeled. Timberwolves did all the real fighting.

Why are you folks always trieing to falsyfie the legend we know as Daishi?

The Timberwolfs were the cheap "Jack-Of-All-Trades" sollution for the Clans -
Daishis were the "Feuerwehr" - always where they were needed
    - always capable to get the job done
    - always a boost of morale for the troops
    - damn sexy in machine terms
    - damn sexy even for humans

    120 tons pure macho.

    Battletech

I'll take a Timberwolf over a Direwolf any day. I prefer a bit more manuverability over sheer tonnage. But, I've always been partial to the Summoner when I think Clan.

Level 1? Ah, the classics. Always been partial to Centurions and Enforcers. Got a thing for trooper mechs with autocannons.

Timber Wolf here too....then again, I liked the Mad Dog as well.

Daishis are popular amongst mechwarriors who like women with something of a hunch though...that, and everyone always goes after the Daishi. You might as well have a giant sign that says "shoot me, please!".

I look at the Daishi as the equivalent of the Tiger - if in proper hands it is the true core of battle; just don't pretend it was anything more then a heavy tank on two legs and you're good.

Unless some guy flies along in his Mustang and makes his '50s bounce of the ground beneath the chassi.....
