Not to be knit-picky or anything. But to be knit-picky, it's not a BD-5!! It's a BD-5J, the "J" standing for jet of course. The regular BD-5 was a pusher prop recip instead of a jet and looked exactly the same except for the prop at the back. The planes were designed by Jim Bede, which is where the "BD" came from since his name is pronounced like that but like "BD" said rapidly. He was an aeronautical engineer designer of some accomplishment.
There were a lot more BD-5s made/built than 5Js by far.
