Anyone know what basis for day/night cycle in offline game is? i.e. how long is game day in real earth hours. One of the fascinations for me is watching how ages look in different lighting (like a thunderstorm at night is really something! ) and I was wondering how long I need to stay around one area to see a full day/night cycle?

I don't think to length of the day is the same for all the ages.On the mushroom level for instance the sun goes around the sky in a couple of minutes or less.

I think in some ages it doesnt move at all. The age with the steam vents (forget its name) for instance, never seems to change, unless it is real-world time, in which case you'd have to wait around for hours to see a change. I have only linked there once in the daytime, and I have no idea what determines it. It seems to be either noon or midnight.

The mushroom age has a fast moving sun but never seems to become full nighttime. it doefinitely gets more "dusky" at times though.

Who knows. it doesnt make sense.

Are these spoilers? I guess not ...
I've seen the daylight change in a few ages.
    1. in Eder Gira it occasionally get REALLY dark or REALLY bright. I believe there are two suns.
    2. in Teledahn it occasionally gets a bit darker than normal. again I think they went the binary route with the stars. one on a fast rotation and one slow. Teledahn could possibly be a moon of the "star" it orbits quickly.
    Ages I haven't seen a change in
    1. in Eder Kemo I've never seen it get dark unless it's stormy.
    2. in Kadish I've never seen the daylight change.
    3. In Garisson (gahreeesonneenenen ... I hate the new spelling) I've never seen it change.

    everything else is caves

Teldehann changes, it was dark when i was playing, and it was dark, later it was bright, and it was bright, but i was never there very long, so it might not have had time to cycle

Thankyou everyone for your answers...and apologies for putting the original message in a non-spoiler thread; I had not anticipated that the answers might be considered spoilers...will try to be more selective in future.
