I've been trying to time my torps to hit the ship at almost the same time. I've been working on formulas, times with ranges, type of torp, ect. to make it work.
The question is..does it actually damage the enemy worse if 3 torps hit at almost or the same time.
If I shoot at a carrier. I will load three at low speed. Leave the tubes closed on the first one open the next two..Fire quickly. Then at the right time, do the same thing with the next 3 on fast speed. Many times I've had four hit at the same time...sure looks great..or 6 within a few seconds. Make sense
I use scope to do spreads and you have to be quick.
Still working on math and ranges to get the fast ones there the same time as the slow ones...anybody got that figured out. If anything, it makes for a heck of a show.
Works great for DTT shots..to have all three come at the same time.
You're right, I was talking about the same ship, but hitting multiple targets at the same time is another work of art in itself.Originally posted by wh1skea:
I think MWolfe1963 is talking about hitting the same target with multiple torpedoes, not multiple targets. I try not to fire more than 2 torpedoes in close succession at a time, unless its a warship (Cruiser or larger). Small and Medium merchants usually only get 1 fish at first.
I don't think it causes more damage, but I got five in a BB with two seconds. Just makes a good show.
